Another family first came along last night. All four of us played a game together. Yep, it sounds simple enough. But, Ethan didn't sit on our laps and just help. He actually played his own turn and moved pieces.
Over labor day we camped in the mountains and did some short hikes.
It seems that our family may be moving into a new phase - each person with a bit of independence. And yet, a phase of enjoyment in just being near and with each other.
Our campsite wasn't exactly secluded.
I'm anticipating the days ahead.

Yay for Family Game Night! We can't wait until our boys are old enough for that (or even Zeke). Right now, we just play the xbox and Zeke cheers us on and Deacon...well, Deacon just does his Deacon thing.
But how exciting to see your guys enjoying each other's company like that. I pray it continues for a LONG time.
